Blending the golden era of country with the intimacy of American folk, Carolina Pine delivers a timeless, harmony-rich performance inspired by the sounds of Merle Haggard, Emmylou Harris, Johnny Cash, and Gillian Welch.

With soaring harmonies, heartfelt songwriting, and stripped-down Americana warmth, the duo pairs Woody James (Illinois) expressive lead guitar with Kennedy Scott’s (North Carolina) rhythm guitar and mandolin, creating a sound that feels both classic and unmistakably their own.

Since joining forces, Carolina Pine has toured nationally as an opening act for Alan Jackson, shared stages with legends such as Vince Gill, Montgomery Gentry and more, earned a #1 song for six consecutive weeks on Bluegrass Music TV, writes songs with Pam Tillis, Mo Pitney, Caroline Owens, and many more, and has built a devoted following with millions of views online.

Now, with their debut full-length album in the works and a summer 2026 tour on the horizon, Carolina Pine is bringing a fresh voice to a timeless tradition.

Will Easter has always been a creator. Art, construction, or music, Will’s hands have always been creating. Songwriting is the throughline between Will’s raising in a porch picking family and his love of bringing something new into the world. Will’s music doesn’t neatly fit in any genre. His songs range from rollicking dance tunes like “River Song” that leave a crowd on its feet, to “Nostalgic Search” which feels like a gospel song being belted in a mountain church, to “Carolina Home” where he works through the complicated emotions of leaving home. His style of writing is specific enough that you can feel his exact emotions, but vague enough that it calls your own memories of those emotions to the front of your mind. 

Chris McGinnis writes songs that exist somewhere between a hiccup and a heartache. His most recent EP, Songs For You, touches on the peculiarity of your hometown morphing beyond recognition. It tells the story of two Baby Boomers falling in and out of love across time zones and decades. It's about connection and disconnection alike. With the release of his debut full-length album Mamaw's Angel, Chris veers deeper into these familiar themes. Through tales of stolen Winnebagos and hip-shaking grandbabies, Chris' music is Appalachian absurdity for the 21st Century.

Jack Marion brings a youthful exuberance and high-country swagger to the doorsteps of modern country music. The Appalachian-based artist has spent years in honky-tonks, bars, and mountain roadhouses, collecting fodder for songs along the way. There are songs about living; written in the shadows of the Blue Ridge Mountains. They are straight-from-the-hip and straight-from-the heart. No bull-honky. All truth. But they are just as catchy as any songwriting-factory-formed mega hit that will ever curse your ear.

Originally from the sacred bluegrass mountains of southwestern Virginia, Thomas Cassell is in the highest rank of modern bluegrass musicians. Cassell currently plays mandolin with the Wood Box Heroes, racking up numerous Grand Ole Opry performances with the band. Previously, he was a founding member of the respected progressive group Circus No. 9, and has performed as a sideman with Billy Strings, the Bryan Sutton Band, Trey Hensley, Jim Lauderdale, Nefesh Mountain, Bronwyn, and many more. Cassell's 2026 release Guitar Collection features 10 collaborative recordings with Tim Stafford, Trey Hensley, Dale Ann Bradley, and more.

GRAMMY-winning Tim Stafford co-founded Blue Highway in 1994 and is a gifted songwriter, guitarist, vocalist, producer, session musician and University instructor, who added author to his list of accolades with the 2010 release of Still Inside, the acclaimed authorized Tony Rice biography co-written with Caroline Wright. A former member of world-renowned Alison Krauss and Union Station, Tim has released five solo albums, including his latest, "Guitar Melodies," and five duet recordings to rave reviews. A prolific songwriter with over 300 songs recorded, he also received honors as 2014, 2017 and 2023 IBMA Songwriter of the Year, and 2001 and 2015 SPBGMA Guitar Player of the Year. His song (co-written with the late Steve Gulley), "Through the Window of a Train," was the 2008 IBMA Song of the Year. Lonesome State of Mind, the title track of Blue Highway's most recent studio record, written with Bobby Starnes, was the most-played Bluegrass song of 2023 as determined by Bluegrass Today. Tim has also appeared on many albums as a session guitarist, including records by Willie Nelson, Kenny Chesney, Jorma Kaukonen, Jesse McReynolds, Tony Trischka, Larry Sparks, Jim Mills, Ronnie Bowman and Lee DeWyze among others. His production credits include Chesney's first recording, Good Ole Boy at Heart (1989) and the 2007 IBMA co-album of the year, Fork in the Road by the Infamous Stringdusters.
