Watauga County Veterans' Memorial Dedication Ceremony

  • Town Hall 567 West King Street Boone, NC, 28607 United States (map)

Prior to the start of the downtown parade at 11:00 A.M., the High Country Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (HCCMOAA) and the Town of Boone will dedicate the Watauga County Veterans’ Memorial. The memorial, designed by local artist Suzie Hallier, honors the five different service branches of the military: Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard. The dedication ceremony will begin at 9:45 A.M. in front of the memorial on King Street next to Town Hall, located at 567 West King Street.

The HCCMOAA was formed in 2004 and consists of members from Watauga, Avery and Mitchell counties. It is a non-profit association that works hard to preserve the memory and recognition of each and every military veteran and their families.

For more information, visit the HCCMOAA online at hccmoaa.org.
